Pastor D. Foy Hutchins

In April of 2025, Pastor D. Foy Hutchins accepted the call as the 12th Pastor of the Union Missionary Baptist Church of Lithonia, GA. A native of Gainesville, Alabama, Pastor Hutchins has been a dedicated and visionary leader with 18 years of pastoral ministry experience. His deep passion for faith, community, and service has shaped his commitment to shepherding congregations with wisdom, compassion, and humility.
At the age of 9, Pastor Hutchins accepted Christ and was baptized, marking the beginning of his spiritual journey. By 17, he had embraced his calling to the Gospel ministry and was later licensed and ordained as a Baptist minister. His educational background reflects his commitment to theological scholarship and ministry, earning a B.A. in Religious Studies from Birmingham-Southern College and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree.

Throughout his ministry, Pastor Hutchins has excelled in preaching, teaching, pastoral care, civic engagement, and strategic leadership. He is devoted to honoring church traditions while embracing innovation to meet the evolving needs of both the congregation and the surrounding community. His leadership style fosters inclusivity, diversity, and unity, ensuring that every member of the church feels valued, supported, and empowered.

Beyond his pastoral work, Pastor Hutchins is a devoted family man. He is the oldest of three sons to Deacon Ron and Sabrina Hutchins, who instilled in him the values of faith, integrity, and service. He is married to Dr. Karissa Hutchins and is the proud father of Ethan and Hope.
Pastor Hutchins believes in building upon the rich spiritual foundations laid by those before him, boldly leading the church into a future of growth, transformation, and renewal. His vision is to create a thriving intergenerational faith community that remains relevant and impactful in an ever-changing world.
